Comment: Despite clearly specifying a budget in my RFP, the majority of bids received were well above it. IMHO, DesignQuote should have bids submitted through their web portal, rather than having direct cutover to designer exchanges. This would provide a uniform format for bids and allow DesignQuote to ensure that the customer is only receiving quotes that are within or at least close to budget and ensure that all rates are clearly disclosed up front. I'm not suggesting that, as other sites do, you "vet" your developers, however at a minimum there should be some way for me to at least see a richer profile, including experience and portfolio, area(s) of of expertise, average star ratings, individual reviews and star ratings and total number of projects completed for DesignQuote clients and preferably be able to hire the designer through DesignQuote's website.

Comment: We do not blame Design Quote for our bad experience. In fact, by posting our quote here, we were able to refer to it during the dispute with the web design company. We are also happy to have a way of evaluating the web design company's performance.

Comment: This is the first time I used this service. I must say - I was very impressed. The website for Design Quote was so easy to use. It was within minutes I received a call clarifying my project. Within a few hours, I received interested Designers. The Designer I picked was very easy to work with and offered reasonable rates.
