How long have you been with your company?

I started my business part time in 2007 and went full time in 2010

Are you self taught or did you attend school for your industry?

I have a commercial design and illustration degree and have taking additional software courses and certifications as the industry has changed and evolved since my college days.

What social media do you use for work and play? Do you have a favorite?

LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter for my business and I LOVE to play in Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram in my free time.

What is your favorite thing about the type of work you do?

Watching my clients businesses grow and blossom! It give me a great sense of satisfaction that I'm helping another business grow.

Who is your typical client at the moment and what types of projects are you working on?

I work with many service professionals that are hoping to attract more clients to their business/practice to grow. I generally start with logo design, move onto branding identity materials and print brochure and design a small business website. I also train my client how to use their WordPress based sites so they are empowered to edit and modify their own content. I can even assist with tradeshows and printing services

What advice would you give a client in order to prepare for a new project?

There is no such thing as a dumb question... please ask! I'm happy to share my knowledge and expertise, but, I can't read your mind :)

What is the most common problem you deal with when working with new clients who do not have much experience with working with designers?

They feel overwhelmed! Having said that, I created a series of surveys and questions to guide my client through the process of gathering materials and content. I ask them not only about where they want to be in a few months from now, but, I want to know their 3 & 5 year goals so I can design materials that can grow with them. I ask about their mission, goals, likes, dislikes and even their competition.

Do you have a minimum budget for a new client?
