Omega Communications did my first web site for my ecommerce business in 2000. The level of service I have received is unprecedented and the quality of work superior. The commitment toward their customers is what most impressed me. Charlie Cocuzza takes pride in his company and sees to it that the customer's needs are properly identified and their site is a custom fit to their business. Omega wants the sites they build to help their customer's business grow, they do not just build a site and move on. They are on the cutting edge of the changes that take place in ecommerce and they are quick to make modifications to stay current. Their team works with you on an ongoing basis to keep your site relevant. I highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a working relationship with a winning team to create a top notch web site. Leslie Nist - Owner Mallory's Marvelous Muffins – Basking Ridge, NJ

Charlie - I want to tell you thank you very much for your design of my website. First of all the way it’s laid out is fabulous starting with the home page and what you guys did with our logo inside the microphone Genius! The rest of the site is so clear and precise and easy to navigate. The volume of inquiries that have come in since the redesign has increased significantly compared to our old site. We have gotten so many compliments from our clients. Again thank you very much. Mike Geramia – Owner Main Stage Productions, New Haven, CT

What is your standard hourly rate?

Please tell us a bit about your background. How did you get started in design?

I have been designing databases since 1988. Omega started in e-Commerce/dynamic database in 1997. We have been designing and hosting websites since then. We can design in HTML, HTML5, PHP, Perl, ColdFusion and java.

How long have you been with your company?

I have been with my company since 1988.

Are you self taught or did you attend school for your industry?

I have attended several design courses but a lot of our experience has been self-taught.

What web browser do you use?

We design and use IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

What social media do you use for work and play? Do you have a favorite?

Facebook, Twitter and Linked-in.

What is your favorite thing about the type of work you do?

I love the challenge of solving a problem that seems impossible.

What advice would you give to someone looking to get into the web design field?

A designer and programmers job is to advise the client based on past experience and best practice. But, listen to the client. Provide what they want using your best judgment.

What`s your favorite development language and why?

ColdFusion. Easy to develop scalable, high-end database driven websites in a relatively short period of time.

If you could only use one language, which one would it be?

What advice would you give a client in order to prepare for a new project?

The most important aspect of a successful design project is the discovery phase. Discovery allows the designer/programmer to understand the clients needs, create the scope and prevent the project from going off-track and off-schedule.

What is the most common problem you deal with when working with new clients who do not have much experience with working with designers?

Scope creep. Without a successful project scope, things can change, add to cost and add to time.

Do you have a minimum budget for a new client?

No minimum budget is required.

Who is your typical client at the moment and what types of projects are you working on?

Our typical client is the small to medium size company that wants to sell their products on the web. Our typical project starts with discovery then implements the project scope defined during discovery. We are currently working several e-Commerce sites including full supply chain implementation.

Do you use a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) or any type of project management or proposal software?

We use on-line project management software.
