Do you use a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) or any type of project management or proposal software?

Yes we have a custom back-end that handles everything from: Invoicing, Estimates, Proposals and even payments.

What advice would you give a client in order to prepare for a new project?

Keep an open mind, what you provide us to design your ultimate website, will be fused with what we know works in your particular industry.

What is the most common problem you deal with when working with new clients who do not have much experience with working with designers?

LOL. that's the ideal situation... I have no problems with that at all. If a client has worked with other developers the possibility they have been disappointed by mediocrity runs high. I always say if they come to you from somewhere else, they didn't come happy. If they like the work previous developers offered, they would never need me. He would be their developer.

What do you see as the most prominent emerging technology?

Sass

Who is your typical client at the moment and what types of projects are you working on?

We are lucky to have started in the field of Banking Application Development. Today the bulk of our business goes to building and supporting banking institutions.

If you could only use one language, which one would it be?

PHP

What advice would you give to someone looking to get into the web design field?

It changes all the time. What you learn in school will soon be obsolete, and a new wave of technology will turn you into a newbie over and over again.

What`s your favorite development language and why?

PHP. It's powerful, It speaks, and you could literally build anything with it. I know some will argue that there are better ways to accomplish certain things, but I'm saying... It's possible with PHP, and there aren't many languages like that.

What is your standard hourly rate?

50

Do you have a minimum budget for a new client?

No, Every new client is a potential lead to a bigger client so regardless of their financial situation, we look for a possible solution.

What is your favorite thing about the type of work you do?

The joy of a client seeing his/her company transform into something beyond their wildest dreams. The feeling of being powerful enough to give someone confidence in their decision to go into business. This is the best job on earth.

What social media do you use for work and play? Do you have a favorite?

I only use Facebook for personal use. Linkedin is by far my favorite. The ability to network throughout the day without much thought that it's happening... That's cool.

How long have you been with your company?

13yrs. and going...

Are you self taught or did you attend school for your industry?

I have a degree in Computer Engineering form Colorado State University, but really loved the idea of creating for the web as well.

What web browser do you use?

I use all Web Browsers. In this industry, in order to keep up with Browser compatibility you need to have access to all browsers. Most developers depend on sites like webshots to see what sites look like in other Browsers, and I do as well, but for all popular browsers I rather see them live, and detect any issues that way.

Please tell us a bit about your background. How did you get started in design?

I started after finishing my masters at Colorado State University. I bought a 400$ HP laptop and turned my basement into a makeshift design studio. I eventually opened an office where I worked alone for a couple years until I was confident and brave enough to bring on developers and designers. I started my company the hard way, through
