What is your standard hourly rate?

Do you have a minimum budget for a new client?

No minimum but I think it's important for customers to consult with an experienced designer to determine a realistic budget. Design budgets are effected mostly by the goals of the project. Most of our design work is performed by one designer. For more ambitious design projects we can provide a five person design team.

Please tell us a bit about your background. How did you get started in design?

I started out in advertising sales in 1995 and began developing an eye for the designs that worked for businesses. During my advertising career, I worked with thousands of Brick & Mortar/Mom & Pop businesses. I learned what lead to success and what lead to failure for many of them.
I really enjoyed being involved in all aspects of the design process eventually following my graphic design interests in 2003 but I never forgot my experience with the businesses I worked with in advertising. I started doing freelance graphic design in 2005 and added web design and photography to my professional services along the way.

How long have you been with your company?

I started my graphic design business in 2005.

Are you self taught or did you attend school for your industry?

Both. I got a long way on my own but as a self taught designer, there were many holes in my technical knowledge. I have received formal education in graphic design, web development and photography.

What web browser do you use?

Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

What social media do you use for work and play? Do you have a favorite?

I keep in touch with family and friends on Facebook. I also use Instagram and Flickr to share my photography as well as my photography website (

What is your favorite thing about the type of work you do?

I get to pick and choose the projects I do. If a design project doesn't speak to me, I'll let it go.

What advice would you give to someone looking to get into the web design field?

Don't get into it unless you love it. If you don't love what you do, your work will suffer and you'll be miserable.
