My name is Eric and I own a small toner, technology, and office product business in Southern California. We have had many challenges as a small business, including modernizing our website and making it user friendly and able to be convenient for customers to buy products. I own a Mobile dog and Cat grooming business in the San Fernando Valley. I had Skyhound rebuild my website after another company started it and they never finished it. Tom and his team were quick and very efficient. They added a few things to make my site more user friendly and easier to navigate. They went above and beyond what I asked for, things I hadn't thought of. Once site was up and running, they continued to monitor the site and have let me know of issues I wasn't aware of. More than a year after the website was completed, they still run tests to make sure I am receiving emails from the site. I highly recommend them. Thanks Tom and team.

Skyhound has created and reworked several websites for our family business and our new start up. They are very detail orientated and think through all the little nuances of the site and your needs. Skyhound has taken design concepts from visualization to reality and even found details that the designers missed. The best aspects of working with Skyhound are ease of accessibility and timeliness. Tom and his team are open for feedback and able to make changes to the site as new aspects are needed and does them quickly. We have been extremely happy with all the work done.

How long have you been with your company?

I am the founder of Skyhound Internet, and we started doing business and were incorporated in California in February of 1998.

Please tell us a bit about your background. How did you get started in design?

My background is in advertising and telecommunications. I previously produced hundreds of television advertisements, infomercials and TV programs in both the Indianapolis and Los Angeles markets. With the public Internet in its infancy in 1998, I started Skyhound Internet so I could help those clients interested in having a new web presence. We have a team of designers and programmers with dozens of years of experience.

What social media do you use for work and play? Do you have a favorite?

I'd rather talk about your business! Social media is important for good promotion of your business. Facebook and Linked In are good bets, but it also depends on the type of business that you have. If you have very visual products, Instagram and Pintrest may be good options. Lastly, don't forget Google+. While it doesn't have nearly as many active users as Facebook, it IS Google, and a Google Plus page will help you rank higher in Google search engine.

What is your favorite thing about the type of work you do?

I enjoy working with different clients all the time. When we work together on your website project, we learn a great deal about your business and your industry. I've met a lot of great people in this line of work, and appreciate those clients that return to us over the years for additional work.

What`s your favorite development language and why?

We prefer to code in PHP for most of our projects. We use different coding for mobile applications, but for website coding we find PHP to be robust, scalable, and powerful. There's a reason it's the most popular programming language for web.
