About Me:

J Ortega Group is located in the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. We are a progressive thinking company that specializes in web and graphic design, and semantic XHTML compliant website development.

Our team of specialists focus on website design, development in PHP and ASP.net, and branding, and paper & internet marketing. We were founded in 2008 with the intent of building a team of great designers and developers, all under one roof, that could quickly turn around beautiful, client tailored solutions at a reasonable price. Our team now has over 15 years of combined design and development experience.

When we aren?t working we are out on the town having a good time, networking with the good people of Austin. Some of us are involved in Austin?s acting scene, UT sports, spending paychecks at Austin Books, and catching as many shows as possible during SXSW.

Better Business Bureau

In October of 2009, J Ortega Design Group joined the Better Business Bureau. As a company that works remotely with many of our clients, we felt like joining the BBB would be an important step to show that we are a reputable company that is accountable, trustworthy, and is going to stand behind our work.

Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

We joined the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the Summer of 2009. The hispanic chamber has allowed us to meet many new people in Austin and allowed us to not only expand our business, but grow our network of professional resources and talent.

San Marcos Texas Chamber of Commerce

The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is a fast paced chamber that is all about getting things done. While we joined the chamber in September of 2009, we've been involved with them on several occasions during the last year, both directly, and indirectly through our partner SparkNet Creative.

Affordable Development

All of our websites and applications are created from the ground up, using award winning backend frameworks such as Wordpress, Drupal, and DotNetNuke. Using these frameworks gives you the benefit of cost savings, and increased security.

Our developers code in a variety of languages, focusing mainly on PHP and ASP.net. We?ve found that it is more effective to use and understand the two giants of the web programming world rather than to focus only on one. On any given project, we evaluate our client?s needs and determine which environment is the most appropriate.

Our process is client centered, and client friendly, and aims for total transparency into your project. The systems we have in place keep you up to date, so you will always know where your project is in terms of completion.

We work with you step by step to complete your project's design, and create detailed sitemaps and work flows to ensure that your application functions the way you originally intended.

Easy Collaboration

Basecamp

We utilize industry standard tools to get the job done. As soon as your project starts production, you?ll be issued an invitation to join us on Basecamp, a project collaboration solution by 37Signals. Basecamp allows for easy collaboration between your staff and ours by either logging in or replying directly to emails. It keeps all communication neatly organized, allows for milestone creation, and "to do" list tracking.

GoToMeeting

To aid in remote collaboration, we have partnered with GoToMeeting, a service that makes conference calling with screen sharing a no brainer. GoToMeeting allows our teams to meet over a great distance as if we were in the same office.

Live Development Site

If applicatable, we'll provide you a development website on one of our servers. This allows you and your team to test drive your site and application as it is being developed, and really be apart of the creation.

Training

Once you?re project is complete, we will walk you through it, and train you and your staff in any areas applicable.
