About Me: I am seeking a graphic design position that utilizes my honest, creative, compassionate, and open-minded nature, expands my understanding and learning, supports the exploration of new perspectives, and allows my skills to advance the employers through innovative ideas and the capacity to connect with others to further these ideas. I seek a position that reflects my own ideals in a desire to create work for causes that have meaning not only towards personal ends, but those which can work on a greater level to benefit others.

In addition to the skills I've learned through my degree in graphic design at Mercyhurst College, as the president and founder of the Mercyhurst chapter of Amnesty International, I designed all promotional materials including flyers, brochures, a website, and a flash banner ad. I feel that my experience in working both as designer and president has combined my knowledge with my design skills and creativity. Also, I have had experience as the sole print designer of Mercyhurst?s 2008 Creative Arts journal, a forty-eight page publication of art and poetry entitled the Lumen, which had a fairly complex 4/1 color schematic, enabling the publication to be cost effective. The theme incorporates many innovative elements, including a digital interpretation of handmade materials and found objects, while remaining attentive and appropriate to each literary piece. This project demonstrates my skills in effectively communicating another's concept through my own innovative vision.
