Everyone faces unique challenges in business. Many women share common problems. Florida Today has looked at some of the issues women face in day-to-day business. What are some of the issues you face?
Integrating business and family.
Many women feel they need to do it all and balance both. This can lead to the inner turmoil of trying to make the best of both worlds, and that can end up in disaster. The best way to handle this challenge is to accept the fact that a “balance” is almost impossible to achieve.
Being taken seriously as business owners.
Just because they are not hiring 10 people right out of the gate does not dismiss them as serious businesswomen. Yet many don’t take them seriously as business owners. Some start their companies from their own living rooms and turn them into multi-million dollar companies.
Isolation.
Because of the challenge of integrating business and family, women have a tendency to work in isolation. … To overcome this challenge, women need to build that network of support.
